Our apple shaped cutting or serving board is hand carved from a single piece of sustainably sourced Blue Gum wood, a form of eucalyptus found throughout southeast Africa. The apple stem detail makes for a convenient carrying handle, and the piece delights as an easy cheese or treats tray.
This wood species is invasive in South Africa, and systematic removal of blue Gum eucalyptus protects native woods and old growth forests, making the boards both beautiful and eco-friendly. They are treated with a natural, food safe beeswax coating, and also stand up outdoors, weathering beautifully over time.
